Technology Upgrades Are in Place for the New School Year
The City School District of New Rochelle Technology team completed a major technology upgrade over the summer.
The upgrades include 200 new smartboards across the school district, 3,000 new and configured student Chromebooks, and new laptops with docking stations for all elementary school teachers. The school district has also updated its infrastructure to support the new technologies. The replacement Chromebooks will be given to students in grades K, 5 and 9 to use for schoolwork, research, and communication.
“The overarching vision of Instructional Technology in the City School District of New Rochelle is to integrate and leverage technology within the curriculum, instruction, professional development, and information management to impact and expand the scope, quality, and richness of all educational programs,” said Director Anastasia Tzortzatos. “These new technologies are an important step in that process.”
