Joseph “Joe” Donaldson, CAA

Superintendent Announces New Athletic Director

Dear New Rochelle School Community:

It is my pleasure to introduce you to the City School District of New Rochelle’s new Athletic Director, Joseph “Joe” Donaldson, CAA, who began his tenure in our school district last week. We are excited to have Joe at the helm of our robust athletic programs and sports teams.

Joe lives in Armonk with his wife and daughters and brings a wealth of valuable experience working with students and student athletes. He has been in physical education and sports for the past 20 years and comes to us most recently from the Yonkers Public Schools, where he served as Director of Athletics for two of the district’s high schools. Joe has also served as Assistant Director of Section 1 Athletics for Southern Westchester BOCES, where he oversaw high school athletics in Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, and Dutchess Counties.

I know Joe will be a positive mentor and role model to our student athletes. He joins a strong team of coaches and will work closely with our School Counselor for Student Athletes to help our athletes grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically during their time at New Rochelle Schools and beyond. I am confident that he will support our student athletes and promote their academic and athletic achievement, skill development, life skills, and citizenship as they develop into future leaders.

We look forward to working with Joe through many winning seasons to come, and I know you will also give him a warm New Rochelle welcome. Go Huguenots!

Sincerely,

Dr. Corey W. Reynolds
Superintendent of Schools
