New Rochelle YMCA Hosts Ribbon Cutting of the Newly Remodeled Gymnasium
On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 10:00 AM the New Rochelle YMCA is having a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of our newly remodeled gymnasium.
The New Rochelle YMCA has endured a lot of challenges, none more difficult than COVID. It has been the home to basketball, volleyball, afterschool activities, UPK ceremonies, remote learning hubs, summer camp, chair yoga, salsa classes, and more recently pickleball.
This restoration project is the result of intergovernmental support from the city, County, NY State and Federal government, along with our community and business partners as well as donors.
“We want to thank all the elected officials, businesses, donors and our wonderful vendors who have worked tirelessly to make sure we have a beautiful new gymnasium,” said Jennifer Ryan Safsel, CEO of the New Rochelle YMCA. “This generous, heartfelt support and commitment to our YMCA gymnasium will allow it to return to being the local hub for health, wellness, and community engagement it has always been for years to come.”
The ceremony will feature brief speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and refreshments. Following the short ceremony, we will have some free pickleball instruction.
Thank you once again for your support, and we eagerly anticipate your presence at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. We kindly request that lightweight footwear be worn on the newly renovated floors.
