New “Mobile NR” App and Web Portal Help Residents Access City Hall 24/7

The City of New Rochelle rolled out “Mobile NR,” an app that further connects New Rochelle residents to City Hall through their smartphones, tablets, and computers. Created with the aim of furthering the City Manager’s Quality of Life Initiative, Mobile NR allows citizens to upload photos, drop a pin on a map, and report an issue, non-emergency service request, or quality-of-life matter. Each submission is routed to the City Manager’s Office and sent to the attention of the appropriate City department, providing residents with real-time updates as their concerns are resolved.

The app also allows residents to conveniently:

o View the City’s calendar of events

o Access information on City Parks

o Learn how to sign up for City alerts

o Access information on Municipal Parkin

o Quickly access parking ticket payment online

o And much more!

“Mobile NR is part of our ongoing commitment to creating and maintaining a responsive, transparent government and improving quality of life throughout our city,” said City Manager Wilfredo Melendez. “We want to make it as easy as possible for residents to alert us to what needs attention in their neighborhoods. This technology will build a stronger, more connected community and offer residents the opportunity to be informed and engaged.”

The app is available now for free download on both iOS and Android devices. Residents without smartphones can also continue to submit requests through the City’s website newrochelleny.gov/mobileNR or by calling the City Manager’s office at (914) 654-2140. Mobile NR is only monitored during normal business hours (Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
