Salvatore Spataro Named Interim Assistant Principal at Jefferson
The Board of Education recently unanimously approved the appointment of Salvatore Spataro as Interim Assistant Principal at Jefferson Elementary School. Spataro began his teaching career in the Bronx before coming to the City School District of New Rochelle eight years ago, serving our students as a 3rd-grade special education teacher at Columbus Elementary School. A Westchester County resident, Mr. Spataro is wholeheartedly invested in promoting the success of our children, forging strong bonds with families, and developing tomorrow’s leaders.
“I have a deep appreciation of our schools partnering with parents, families, and our PTAs,” said Mr. Spataro. “The ability to collaborate and build trust are critical in ensuring that our students achieve their full potential. Our schools are places that promote learning and social development while supporting our families”
Spataro is certified in both school building and school district leadership and was a 2018 Special Education Parent Teacher Association award winner. He was the founding project leader for the Columbus after-school program and has had numerous other leadership experiences in the school district and community.
