Owners Gillian and Will Graves have opened their second Goldfish Swim School in New Rochelle. Goldfish Swim School’s new 9,000 square foot learn-to-swim facility opened in November and is now welcoming learning swimmers into the pool.

Goldfish Swim School provides indoor, year-round swim instruction for children ages 4 months to 12 years old. The school features an indoor pool that’s heated to 90 degrees to be comfortable for children while also offering an air-conditioned gallery where parents can relax while keeping an eye on their children. The facility has snack bars and prop shops along with changing rooms and amenities such as dryers for swimsuits as well as hair. Goldfish Swim School prides itself in offering a safe, family-friendly setting with highly trained instructors. Small class sizes with a maximum 4 to 1 student to teacher ratio are a big part of that pledge.

“As parents of three little boys, we understand how important water safety is to all families and we know that kids benefit from participating in learn-to-swim programs from an early age,” Graves said. “We are thrilled to bring the Goldfish curriculum, high quality instruction and state-of-the-art facility to more local families with this additional facility. Our team wants to ensure that children have a safe, fun, and friendly place to learn how to swim.”

The New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce was pleased to host the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for Goldfish Swim School. Guests included Deputy Mayor and City Council Member Martha Lopez; Fire Chief Andy Sandor; from the New Rochelle Development office: Lisa Davis – Economic Development Manager, Jorge Ventura –Senior Real Estate Development Manager and Mariana Jusufaj, Minority Business Liaison; and NR Chamber Executive board Members: Rob Hayes – President and owner of the Beechmont Tavern, Carol Barrella from the Town Planner Calendar and Catherine White Executive Director.

After the Ribbon Cutting and tour of the facility Rob Hayes said, “While Goldfish Swim School, with its colorful murals and seaside theme, is geared towards being fun and engaging for kids, it really is a mastery of cutting edge the technology. The energy saving and safety mechanics they demonstrated are amazing. Any kid would love to learn to swim here, I know I would have.”

Martha Lopez noted how thrilled she is to welcome Goldfish Swim school to New Rochelle and her district. “I love to see new businesses investing in themselves and New Rochelle. Gillian and Will Graves have put so much care and energy into Goldfish Swim School, you can feel it as soon as you walk in the door. I am wishing them much success.”
