HOMICIDE
On October 26, 2022, at about 5:54pm, New Rochelle Police received multiple calls of shots fired, and that a person was shot near the intersection of Horton Avenue and Colonel Lee Archer Boulevard. Upon arrival, New Rochelle Police located a person on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. New Rochelle Police, Fire and Ambulance personnel administered first aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital. The victim, a 29-year-old male resident of New Rochelle, ultimately succumbed to his injuries. New Rochelle Detectives are actively investigating this incident and encourage anyone with any information relating to this shooting to call New Rochelle Police Headquarters at 914-654-2300. The name of the victim is being withheld at this time and will be released after the family is fully notified.
ASSAULT ARREST MADE
On Monday October 24th,2022, at about 9:25pm, New Rochelle Police Officers responded to restaurant in the 300 block of North Ave on a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, New Rochelle Officers encountered the victim, a 38-year-old male employee of the restaurant, who had a serious laceration across his neck. He was taken to a local area hospital and was later listed as being in stable condition. Further investigation revealed that the suspect left in a taxicab. Police were able to locate and apprehend the suspect shortly thereafter in the taxicab at North Ave and the Boulevard.
ARRESTED: Avery L. Bady, 49 years of age, of the Bronx, NY.

NY PENAL LAW SECTION 265.01 CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON 4TH DEGREE – A MISDEMEANOR
PROSTITUTION STING ARRESTS MADE
On Friday October 14th, 2022, New Rochelle Police Detectives concluded a Prostitution investigation into The Rivage Spa, located at 514 Main Street, where 5 people were arrested on various prostitution and related offenses. The investigation revealed that the business had an ongoing practice of engaging in prostitution, as well as multiple building code violations. The New Rochelle Building Department responded and further deemed the building unsafe for occupancy at this time.
