New Rochelle Maker Hosts a Women's
History Month Event for Women
Makers and Small Businesses at KRAVE

Melissa Panszi Riebe, founder and maker of A D’Zine (www.adzineny.com) jewelry recently held a Women’s History Month celebration for female makers and small business owners at KRAVE in New Rochelle. Riebe held the first gettogether 2 years ago, prior to the pandemic. Over the past two years, many makers and small businesses have had to pivot, adjust and re-evaluate their businesses.

In light of all that they have been through and as becoming safer to interact in person, Riebe realized it was time to celebrate once more. KRAVE is always such a strong supporter of local business, especially women and minority owned, like A D’Zine.

Around 30 women maker/business owners came together, mingled, networked, and celebrated their collective successes.  Some future collaborations were being planned in some of the conversations. Women from all over Westchester/Hudson Valley Area (Larchmont, Yonkers, Ardsley, Hawthorne, White Plains, Pelham, Mount Vernon, Carmel, Scarsdale, Tarrytown, Croton on the Hudson, Thornwood, and New Rochelle) and a few from Connecticut were in attendance. As one of the participants said, “Nothing says ‘possibility’ like being in a room filled with amazing women.”
