The New Rochelle Public Library Foundation will hold its Guardian Gala on Thursday, May 12th at the Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle. The evening will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, a silent auction — and guests happy to celebrate the return of the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation’s popular fundraising event.  CBS TV reporter Tony Aiello will serve as the evening’s emcee. Foundation Awards Grants to 18 Nonprofits

The Westchester Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $567,500 to 18 local nonprofits. Seven grants will go to support criminal justice reform with a focus on providing a continuum of services for young people at risk of incarceration or already justice-involved. 

The ‘Victory Farmers’ Exhibit on View in May Supports Community Farming Effort

This May, the Oresman Gallery at the Larchmont Public Library  will showcase the work of artist Stacey Creem in the “Victory Farmers” exhibit, an amalgamation of large and small oil paintings and photographs depicting men and women of Larchmont and Mamaroneck and their efforts in a community project sponsored by Victory Farms at the Grange.

A joyous remembrance and celebration of A.J. Rosen’s life was held on Saturday, April 23rd, at Pavilion 1 In the Glen Island Park in New Rochelle with a barbecue with A.J.’s favorite music playing at the event.
